摘要
Software maintenance is one of an important process in software development life cycle. After development team delivered the software and users operated on it, the requests from user that related to the software are always raised and issued to maintenance team. The expectation of customers is that maintenance team could support them by answering the question, solving the problem, or developing a new system to support their operations. For this reason, the Modification Request Management Framework (MRMF) is presented in this paper. This proposed framework is focused on the problem/modification identification, classification, and prioritization process that are the first activity on software maintenance process. This framework has been developed by including the principle of Knowledge Asset and Taxonomy. The benefit of MRMF framework application is to classify, manage the request from user and to establish the supporting information for maintenance team to proceed on software maintenance process effectively.
