摘要
Current control in vector-controlled PMSM drives is essential for the overall drive performance. Various current controller structures and design methods are commonly implemented in the literature, many of which are special cases of a generalized two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) PI controller. In this article, design methods for the parameters of a 2DOF PI current controller are reviewed, and a general design is proposed. The controller could he designed using the general method for independent zero and pole placement achieving completely decoupled d-q dynamics. Moreover, a tuning approach for minimal settling time and noise sensitivity is proposed. The proposed and existing designs are compared in terms of reference tracking, disturbance rejection, noise sensitivity, and robustness against variation in machine parameters. The proposed method results in improved disturbance rejection. The simulation results verified the performance and robustness of the proposed design. A 1-kW motor drive is used to validate the design experimentally.
