摘要
Aphasia is an acquired language disorder, which affects the ability to produce and comprehend written and/or spoken words. Aphasia is associated with great cognitive variation, but impaired word retrieval skills is one of the most common and persistent aspects. Information search requires several language skills, such as naming, spelling, and reading. Consequently, text-based information searching can be challenging for people with aphasia. Aphasia is highly overlooked in information science, hence there is a need to investigate how aphasia affects information seeking and searching. This project examines how people with aphasia proceed when solving information needs. Further, the project aims to examine alternative solutions to information search, and how to support information seeking other than specified search. The project builds upon the findings from a pilot study conducted in 2020.
