Magneto-optical properties of aligned single-walled carbon nanotubes

摘要
We report on the magneto-optical properties of aligned single-walled carbon nanotubes in polymer. With appling magnetic fields parallel to the aligned tube axis, the optical absorption spectra significantly change. The observed spectral change is explained by the magnetic-field-induced band splitting. The physical origin of energy splitting is discussed in relation to Aharanov-Bohm and Zeeman effects.
