Synthesis and Catalytic Performance of Ag/PANI/Fe2O3 Composite Particles

摘要
The Ag/PANI/Fe2O3 composite particles were synthesized through the surface redox reaction of silver citrate with PANI/Fe2O3 composite carrier. The results of TEM and XRD showed that the average size of silver was smaller than 10 nm. The FTIR analysis proved that there was no chemical bond between silver, polyaniline and ferric oxide, but the adsorption peak of Ag/PANI/Fe2O3 composites shifted toward shorter wavelength caused by the electronic interaction of silver and polyaniline. In the reduction of m-nitrophenylsulfonic sodium with an excess amount of NaBH4 at room temperature, the Ag/PANI/Fe2O3 composites presented good catalytic activity with a m-nitrophenylsulfonic sodium conversion rate of 86.77%.
