摘要
Over the past few decades, elegant research pioneering the convergence of physical sciences and biology has given deeper insight into the mechanism of both regulated and dysregulated biological processes and established the need for more quantitative approaches to the study of cell biology. At the National Cancer Institute's Office of Physical Sciences-Oncology (OPSO), the budding Physical Sciences-Oncology Centers (PS-OC) program (Figure 1) is actively converging these often disparate disciplines with the intent of bringing new insight into the understanding of cancer progression and drug resistance.
