MOMENTS (Models and Methods for Future Knowledge Construction: Interdisciplinary Implementations with Mobile Technologies) is a multidisciplinary research project focusing on future teaching, studying and learning using mobile solutions. This paper discusses some key ideas of a model for network-based mobile education (NBME), the MOMENTS metamodel developed as part of the project. The paper also presents the theoretical ideas and preliminary findings of a case study which illustrate how the metamodel may be applied.
