摘要
There are many kinds of nature macromolecular biomedical material. In this paper, we have mainly introduced three kinds of them about their preparation, properties and application respectively. Wool keratin: Wool is one of natural keratin fibers. With the development of the tissue engineering, the biological application of wool keratin attracts more and more researcher's attention. We summarize the researches and progress in the preparation technique, the biological materials and the application of wool keratin, and estimate the prospect of wool keratin as biomedical materials. Chitin fibers: As the chitin fibers are made from chitinous materials, they are granted some properties of the latter, such as good bioactivity, biocompatibility, biodegradation and bacterial inhibition, etc, the chitin fibers are mainly used in medical and health area. The chitinous dressing and clothes for medical use were put into market several years ago. Silk fibroin: Silk fibroin is also one of nature macromolecular protein which come from silk. Silk fibroin membrane is widely used as biomedical materials. Silk fibroin is compatible with body tissues, so it is used to sew up a wound, to make artificial blood vessel, and to make artificial skin, and so on. The Silk fibroin is also used for regulating the release of medicine. The research and development about the biomedical fibers are still on the way and has shown hopeful prospective of application. Much attention should be paid on the research and development of biomechanical fibers.
