Camera system for arbitrary viewpoint 3D display system

摘要
This paper describes the multiview camera system to obtain the ray data of real 3D objects for arbitrary viewpoint 3D display system. This camera system consists of 9 CMOS cameras, and their pixels are randomly accessible. Thus, the ray data to reconstruct 3D images of captured real 3D objects can be synthesized from 9 CMOS cameras directly. Each ray data to reconstruct captured real 3D objects is calculated by the FPGA board, and the pixel corresponds to each ray data, which is given by the FPGA board to the PC. Therefore, arbitrary viewpoint 3D display with proposed camera system can display real-time captured 3D objects. As the experimental results, the 3D image of real object is reconstructed.
