摘要
The aim of the present study is to assess the effects of submissive acts on marital satisfaction, and the critical role of perceived marital problem solving abilities on this relationship. Ninety-two married couples, who have at least one university student children, participated into study. In the first part of the study reliability and validity studies of the assessment devices were completed and in the second part of the study correlations between the variables of the study were examined and the main hypotheses of the study was assessed via using hierarchical regression analysis. According to statistical analyses it was found that increment in the submissive acts of the couples led to decrement in the perceived marital problem solving abilities of the couples and which led to lowered marital satisfaction. Limitations of the study and possible effects of these findings on psychotherapy practices are discussed in the light of current literature.
