摘要
A compact triple-band printed antenna for wireless local area network and worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WLAN and WiMAX) applications is proposed. The antenna occupies only a small area of 34 x 11 mm(2) and consists of branch strips, a parasitic patch and a modified ground plane. With the use of a plated-through via connecting the parasitic patch with the branch strips on the both sides, multiple impedance bandwidths covering WLAN/2.4/5.2/5.8 and WiMAX/3.5 are obtained. In addition, the proposed antenna has good radiation characteristic and peek gains to be 3.92, 2.8 and 3.8 dBi at 2.45, 3.5 and 5.5 GHz, respectively.
