Response of promising varieties of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) to nitrogen and spacing under mid-hills, rainfed conditions of Himachal Pradesh

摘要：
An experiment was conducted during 1994-95 and 1995-96 to study the effect of promising varieties at 3 nitrogen levels and 2 spacings on Indian mustard [Brassica juncea (L.) Czernj & Cosson] 'RCC 4' Indian mustard gave significantly higher yield than 'Varuna'. Nitrogen @ 60 kg/ha gave significantly higher yield at 30 cm spacing, whereas at 20 cm spacing yield increased significantly up to 75 kg N under rainfed conditions.
