Investigating earthquake effects using GIS and remote sensing data

摘要
In this study, land-use change has been detected between 1992 and 1997 using remote sensing data. This data has been integrated with different related coverages in a GIS and evaluated together. Some of these layers are; feature classes, which were obtained after classification of the satellite images, digitised topographic map in the scale of 1/5000, earthquake map and geological map. Landuse zones in the ground condition of study area have been determined by means of satellite images. Increases in the settlements between the year of 1992 and 1997 have been analysed. The areas carries serious earthquake risks have been determined using remote sensing data together with related data.
