Temperature dependent photorefractive properties of a Ce-doped BaTiO3 crystal

摘要
The efficiency and time response of a Ce-doped BaTiO3 crystal as a self-pumped phase conjugator were investigated at 514.5 nm at elevated temperature. It was found that its efficiency varies and its time response is improved at elevated temperature. Two-beam coupling experiments showed that both two-beam coupling gain coefficient Gamma and speed of response of the crystal can be enhanced by several times when the temperature is elevated to 90 degrees C. In addition, the temperature dependence of Gamma and also that of the absorption coefficient art linear.
