摘要
The adsorption dynamic characteristics for SO2 on the activated carbon (A.C.) fixed bed were studied in this work and the adsorption mechanism was discussed in detail. The whole adsorption course was divided into two stages. The adsorption rate was relatively big in the first stage, and then grew very slowly in the subsequent stage, during which the generated sulfuric acid was gradually accumulated onto the surface of the A.C., leading to a stable adsorption reaction rate constant. By the Freundlich equation, the reaction rate constants (k) were calculated as 0.186 g SO2 g(-1) A.C..
