A new method for recognition of handwritten digits based morphological structures

摘要
In this paper, a new and efficient method is developed to recognize handwritten digits based on morphological structure. The extracted structural points are used to describe the morphological structures of handwritten digit. The spurious segment of handwritten digits are detected, and deleted. The broken digits are reconstructed. All possible morphological structures are constructed, including the inter broken digits. Experiment results are given to show the effectiveness of the method.
