摘要
The Operator Training Simulators (OTS) for chemical industrial processes is developing very fast. How to ensure training effectiveness and at the same time reduce the production cost is of importance, In this paper, the measurement methods of training effectiveness are surveyed, The relation between fidelity and training effectiveness of OTS for chemical industrial processes is qualitatively summarized. Since recently Distributed Control Systems (DCS) have wider and wider applications, the fidelity assessment issues of DCS operating console simulator are analysed. The consideration of trainees' properties and the properties of corresponding processes is emphasized. In addition, this paper discusses the fidelity assessment issues of process simulation software including its scope and accuracy. The consideration of not only fidelity but also training function is emphasized.
