摘要
Taekwondo is a kind of martial art popular in Korean peninsula. It uses techniques of hand and foot to combat and is a national traditional sport of Korea. In 1988, taekwondo first appeared in the Seoul Olympic Games as a demonstration event. In 1994, the International Olympic Committee voted through that Taekwondo would become an official competition event in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. At that time, taekwondo athlete Chen Zhong won China's first precious gold medal in Olympic Games. Although taekwondo in China started late, it developed soon. Meanwhile it has no solid basic skills. In view of the medal winners of women's taekwondo of Olympic Games in our country, the advantage of South Korea in taekwondo sport is gradually diluted. In this paper, theoretical analysis and examples are used to illustrate the characteristics of women's taekwondo Olympic championship.
