摘要：

At the Cockpit Displays III1 & IV2 conference, diffractive color separation was proposed as a means for improving both the performance and efficiency of liquid crystal displays. This paper discusses that approach in further detail as well as the progress made in attempting to develop the necessary technology. A design for the color separator filter was made based around the use of an analog and binary fabrication technologies. Performance of the two resulting color separation filters will be discussed.
