THE CONSTRUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE IN A DOCTORAL RESEARCH PROJECT ON EDUCATION

Aims at presenting a doctoral research project on Education and its theoretical and methodological aspects in the construction of knowledge in the history of education in Para. It analyzes the project entitled "Children and educational practices in the Republican Belem: meanings of social imaginary and legal epistemology in the record books of the Public Jail of St. Joseph (Cadeia Perblica de Sao Jose) (1890-1910)" as an object worked in the discipline Research on Education of the first Doctorate in Education course of the Postgraduate in Education Program (Programa de Pos-Graduagdo em Educagdo] of the Para State University [Universidade do Estado do Para'. It highlights the historical and cultural panorama and the social imaginary of the society of Para in the First Republic and the educational practices in a prison space from the legal acts on children present in the records of the Public Jail.
