Ellen R. Grass guest lecture:: Challenges and changes:: Practicing clinical neurophysiology in the 21st century

Clinical neurophysiology has expanded significantly in the past 50 years, with continued scientific discovery, improved technologies, and new applications for both diagnosis and treatment of nervous system dysfunction. The challenge in today's marketplace is to continue to provide excellent service while being mindful of expense. Influencing public policy to assure the continued success of the field of clinical neurophysiology relies on the collaboration of many groups involved in various aspects of the field. Medicare data provide a useful measure of past changes in the practice of clinical neurophysiology, and can point to useful future directions.
