摘要
Innovation of English major teaching is one of the focuses in domestic foreign language education in China in recent years. Innovating English teaching mode in universities and colleges has already become a common sense in academic circle, and it is also corresponding with the strategic objectives of reform and development of talent training mode in universities as well as colleges in our country as well. How to cultivate the creative ability of student in universities and colleges has become a big common issue in higher education, but there are few studies of the cultivation of creative ability of students in universities and colleges at present. According to investigation, students in universities and colleges at present are in a passive position of learning English, and the learning efficiency as well as learning effect is not ideal so that their comprehensive as well as creative ability are relatively low. Therefore, the innovation of English teaching in universities and colleges as well as cultivation of students' creative ability is of great significance to English teaching reform in universities and colleges as well as the improvement of the quality of English talents. As a result, this paper mainly makes an analysis of the exploration of the innovation path of English teaching in universities and colleges. The first part is a brief introduction of the whole paper. The second part of this paper discusses the connotation of English major and students' English creative ability in universities as well as colleges. The third part discusses the theoretical basis of the innovation path of English teaching in universities and colleges. The last part of this paper makes an analysis of the innovation strategies of English teaching in universities and colleges in our country and gives a brief conclusion.
