摘要
International and Hungarian regulations on the alternative therapeutical and preventive methods have been summarized in the second part of the series of articles. Harmonization of the Hungarian regulations with the EU regulations is an important pre-condition for Hungary before joining to the European Union. It does also for licensing and use of medicaments, as well as for carrying out therapeutic activities, within this, also for the field of alternative veterinary therapies. Therefore It Is Important to review the EU regulations dealing with this field. In Hungary, only a few veterinarians are dealing with alternative methods, independent associations, societies have not been established, problematics of the application of these methods in food producing animals have not been treated organically by scientific cogency. Thus, it is essential to consider the results of such countries where the decisions were made on the basis of experiences and comprehensive surveys of many decades and/or scientific investigations to establish the domestic legal and ethic norms. Of the decisions of international veterinary medical associations, recommendations of the American Veterinary Medical Association for the alternative therapies have been treated. In Hungary, the regulations for the natural therapies in the field of human medicine came also into existence in 1997. Theoretical bases and methods of the non-conventional therapeutic methods applied in the veterinary practice correspond with that used in the human practice in many cases thus - besides the recommendations of the veterinary practice - with knowledge of the Hungarian regulations of human medicine can also help in the elaboration of domestic veterinary medical regulations. Finally, the authors have summarized the possibilities of the veterinary education and training to acquire the knowledge on non-conventional methods, on the function of Hungarian and international organizations.
