摘要
Up to now, most planet searches have concentrated on solar-like stars. In order to find out what the influence of the mass of the central object (star or brown dwarf) is, objects of higher or lower mass have to be studied. One possibility is that the mass-distribution of planets simply scales with the mass of the central object, or it might be that the mass-distribution of the planets is independent from the mass of the central object. Since it is difficult to detect planets of stars of much higher mass than the Sun, one should search for planets of lower mass objects. Old Brown dwarfs are quite inactive, and since they have masses of less than 0.08 M circle dot are highly suitable for such a project. With UVES it is already possible to detect planets of about one M-Jupiter. Because brown dwarfs are relatively bright in the near infrared, it will be much better to use CRIRES for this kind of work. In here it is shown that it should be possible to detect planets of a few M-Earth orbiting brown dwarfs with this instrument.
