摘要：
In this study, the extended cubic B-spline functions are used to set up the collocation method for finding solutions of the Fisher equation. The effect of the proposed method is sought by studying three test problems. The Fisher equation is fully-discretized using the Crank-Nicolson method for the time discretizion and the extended cubic B-spline function for spatial discretizion of the unknown variable. Numerical examples are performed to show the convenience of the method for solutions of Fisher equation. L-infinity and relative error norms are used to measure the error norm between exact and numerical solutions.
