RETRACTED: Energy Evaluation of Multi Split Air Conditioners with Indoor Compressors (Retracted Article)

An air-conditioning system is developed to solve the problems occurring in the conventional split or multi-split air conditioners. The compressors of the system are installed indoors. In each air-conditioned room, the compressor was controlled independently. The cycle performance is evaluated based on the thermodynamic mathematical model. Results indicated that, at the part load, cooling capacity that the system produces increases, and higher COP obtains. Obviously, energy conservation for the proposed system is better than that for the conventional split or multi-split air conditioner. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
