The performance analysis of the quasi-soliton transmission system

摘要
Properly designed variation of fiber(group velocity) dispersion can propagate quasi-solitons, new soliton-like pulse which allows significantly improved transmission property by reducing much of the intrinsic problems of soliton. In this paper, first, we introduced the dispersion map of the quasi-soliton system, and then based on the purpose of reducing the mean-square frequency and timing jitter induced by the amplifier spontaneous emission noise, applying the Variation of Lagrangian, the characterristic parameters are fixed. Finally, the comparison is made between the quasi-soliton and the dispersion-managed soliton.
