Slippage while filtration of gas-liquid mixtures in porous media

摘要
Gas-liquid mixture filtration at pressures above the saturation level is studied. Porous medium wettability implications for filtration are tested experimentally. Gas/oil and gas/water filtration processes - at pressures close or above the saturation point - could be explained by build-up of gas nuclei on pore channel walls that leads to liquid slippage. Gas/liquid filtration in a heterogeneous porous medium is assessed. The results reveal that the filtration profile will be uniform for a Newton oil with gas nuclei rather than degassed oil.
