Minimum Mean Squared Error (MMSE) criterion can be used to obtain near-far resistant single-user receivers in DS-CDMA systems, and the LMMSE-RAKE receiver has shown promising performance in. FRAMES WCDMA downlink receivers. Special concern is focused on the ability to achieve correct timing of the received signal in near-far scenarios, so two adaptive equalizers based on MMSE receivers-LMS and RLS algorithms are proposed to estimate the propagation delays. And more, a two-step adaptation using DA/DD methods to achieve good tracking is described. The simulation results show that even in severe near-far situations, the RLS receiver can obtain satisfactory performance.
