Three-dimensional computed tomography using cone-beam monochromatic X-rays

摘要
We have developed a proto-type experimental system for 3D x-ray cone-beam CT which is composed of a monochromatic x-ray source, a computer-controlled turn table for rotating and moving objects, a 9-inch image intensifier, and a workstation. The system is designed based on exact cone-beam reconstruction theories and acquire projection data by using non-planar scanning orbits. The system also possesses a function of element selective imaging which visualizes quantitative distribution of typical contrast agents such as I, Be, and Gd by using the K-edge energy subtraction technique.
