In a technologically shrinking world, established companies and innovative firms are recognizing more and more that formation of strategic alliances will do a great deal to further the good fortunes of everyone involved. The practical French were among the earliest to realize this, and they are betting that the United States will be a potentially good partner for what they have to offer.
