摘要：
What do we know about the structure of quasicrystals after almost two decades of research manifested in more than 7500 publications? Are there any uncommon physical properties related to their uncommon crystal structures? Are there any practical applications for these strange intermetallic phases? A personal summary of our present state of knowledge on quasicrystals is given.
