摘要：

The motion of an elastic beam supporting a moving rigid body was studied with the aid of numerical integration of the governing, partially linearized equations of motion. Two cases were considered. One case comprises an extremely flexible beam and a slow moving body. Another case comprises a stiff beam and a fast moving body. In both cases, meaningful results were obtained if the bodies are replaced with particles located at their mass centers.
