摘要：

Over the span of nearly half a century, Victor L. Streeter made significant contributions in fluid mechanics and applied hydraulics. He authored several popular textbooks and numerous technical publications. In this presentation we will first chronicle his career and then recount his efforts and lasting impact in the fields of hydraulics and fluid transients.
