摘要
A new genus and species of fossil Vetanthocoridae, Pubivetanthocoris carinalis Tang, Wang and Yao, gen. et sp. nov., is described and illustrated herein from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber, which represents the first record of fossil vetanthocorids from Myanmar. The condition of the antennae and pronotum can distinguish P. carinalis Tang, Wang and Yao, gen. et sp. nov. from other vetanthocorids. By comparing the setae on the terminal two antennal segments of the extant species and the fossil records of anthocorids, it was possible to indicate a general appearance time of the setae on the terminal two antennal segments in anthocorids.
