Intelligibility catchers for self-managed knowledge transfer

Intelligibility Catchers (10) are novel e-learning components. Designed for self-managed learning and transfer of knowledge they encapsulate didactic and learner-centered concepts in an effective way. ICs are based on the context-aware coupling of individualized content elements to communication entries in learning environments. Due to their generic structure they can be used for any domain and on different levels of granularity. A first evaluation of IC utility reveals appreciation in terms of facilitated capacity building and focused peer-to-peer interaction in the course of learning and knowledge transfer.
