摘要
Conformity of three-dimensional shape and wear conditions of cutting tool inserts have enormous influence on reliability and economy of modem production. For their assessing a new measurement approach is proposed. It is based on fusion of the data obtained by a low-resolution fringe projection system and a high-resolution white light interferometer. Furthermore, the transformation of different ranges of point clouds of a cutting tool insert into a common point cloud is explained. Applied surface fitting is based on the separation of the whole measured point clouds into the areas, which are suitable for matching the extracted geometrical features. Extracted geometrical features describe the actual shape of a cutting tool insert. The actual shape is adjusted into a nominal shape given by a CAD model with properly found transformation parameters. Finally, the results of comparisons between actual shape obtained by different filtering and data reduction criteria and a nominal model are presented.
