摘要
New developed algorithm for simulation of self-similar Ethernet traffic is presented in the article. Subject of the research is the influence of self-similar processes over the traffic in computer networks by definition quality of service in local Ethernet network concerning the parameters as: percentage of lost packets and average time of packet delay in Ethernet switch. The result of the simulation research is that accounting the influence of self-similar network traffic leads to improvement of accuracy of the real evaluations of research parameters, defining the quality of service.
