A NOVEL METHOD TO ELIMINATE GRATING NOTCH IN UNIFORM SUBARRAY FOR AIRBORNE RADAR

摘要
This paper deals with the grating notch cancellation problem in the uniform subarray configuration of airborne radar system. Grating notches, caused by the receive beamforming at the subarray level alone, make the main lobe distorted in the presence of signal-dependent interference. A transmit prefilter is designed to zero the radar radiant energy of the grating-lobe area to eliminate the grating notches. Numerical results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
