摘要
The enantioselective hydrogenation of 2-methyl-2-pentenoic acid (MPeA) over cinchonidine-modified 5 wt % Pd/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst has been studied. The reaction exhibited a strong solvent-dependent behavior in terms of activity. The presence of cinchonidine does not affect the reaction order with respect to either acid or H-2 pressure, but has a significant inhibiting effect on the reaction rate.
