JWSU: A Java']Java3D framework for Virtual Reality

摘要
In this paper we introduce JWSU, a Java3D based framework for Virtual Reality. JWSU allows researchers to develop VR programs easily and quickly. JWSU provides multiple InputDevice implementations, and supports several mechanisms of displaying the virtual environment. With only a couple of lines of modification for example, one can start using a CyberGlove and a Polhemus tracker to navigate and interact in a Virtual Environment instead of the mouse or the CyberTouch and a FlockOfBirds 3D tracker The ability to switch easily between input/output devices has been proved and illustrated in this paper to be one of the major advantages of JWSU.
