摘要
Free surface flows arising in a number of important areas of science and engineering have been efficiently studied using boundary element methods. In this paper we describe the formulation of a suite of boundary element codes we have developed far various applications involving the study of the dynamics of bubbles and their interaction with nearby structures and free-surfaces. These include studies in an axisymmetric setting using the code 2DYNAFS, and in a more general three-dimensional setting using the code 3DYNAFS. Further, in practical applications, the structural response, deformation, and motion can be significant, and affect the bubble dynamics which controls structural loading, stresses, erosion and damage,To extend the capability of the codes we have developed fully coupled fluid-structure modelling codes by combining our boundary element fluid codes with existing finite element structural codes (NIKE2D, NIKE3D). In the following we present details of the codes, and some examples of application studies.
