摘要
Designing multimedia content for e-Learning can enhance the efficiency of online teaching However mere multimedia content without proper interactivity based on the instructional and learning strategies will not be effective for learning Embedding the required interactivity without the knowledge of programming is not an easy task and it requires expertise from various fields resulting in an expensive content. This paper proposes a novel approach using Patterns for cost-effective development of e-Learning content. Patterns capture and increase the level of reuse of the instructional and learning strategies, leading to rapid content creation by non-technical Instructors. The patterns can be implemented using constructive templates to facilitate the development of content. To illustrate the proposed approach, a specific pattern for creating animated contents and five constructive templates are introduced. Two ongoing projects which have resulted from this research are also discussed.
