Model monitoring of the ocean upper layer in the North Atlantic

摘要：

The coupled model of the ocean mixed layer and the ocean general circulation is presented. The model simulations in the North Atlantic from 1 December 1978 to 28 February 1979, using the real boundary conditions from the data of the First Global Weather Experiment, was done. It was shown, that the significant evolution of hydrophysical fields, mixed layer and integral heat transport took place. This evolution was determined by the processes of winter convection and non-stationary wind forcing.
