The aim of a study was the assessement of cardiac rhythm disorders in a group of 116 pts operated for abdominal aortic aneurysm and/or aorto-iliac occlusion tin this 46 pts with coronary artery disease (CAD). In all the pts Holter monitoring was performed. Arrhythmias, conduction disturbances and ischaemic events were analyzed and correlated with the presence of CAD, left ventricular ejection fraction CEF), total operation time, aortic clamping time and intraoperative blood loss. Cardiac arrhythmias were observed in 65 pts; ischaemic events in 52 pts and conduction disturbances in 15 pts. Cardiac disorders appeared mainly 3,3-5,2 hrs after aorta declamping. Significant correlation between the occurrence of life-threatening arrhythmias and blood loss over 2000ml and CAD, as well as between arrhythmias and aortic clamping time above 30 min and EF< 60% was found.
