摘要：
Sport Education Model is a teaching achievement resulted from the teaching practice over nearly 40 years. Its clear course objectives, complete teaching theories, distinctively featured course structure and realistic teaching scenarios have provided much enlightenment to China's curriculum reform of P.E. in general higher education institutions. This paper attempts to introduce sport education model to guide the teaching reform of football elective course in general higher education institutions, thus to open up a new approach for curriculum reform of P.E. in general higher education institutions.
