Dynamics of approximate solutions to a class of evolution equations in Banach spaces

摘要
We study the asymptotic behavior of approximate solutions to certain evolution equations in Banach spaces which describe continuous descent methods for the minimization of Lipschitz functions. These evolution equations are governed by regular vector fields. Since the complement of the set of regular vector fields is sigma-porous in the space of all descent vector fields, we conclude that our results apply to most such vector fields in the sense of Baire category.
