High-Q Optical Filter Based on Multi-nanohole Micro-ring Resonator

摘要
A new structure based on multi-nanohole microring resonator has been proposed to enhance quality factor(Q) and extinction ratio(ER). Q of 1.9x10(5) and ER of 34.87dB can be realized in a 20 mu mx20 mu m footprint device. Moreover, this structure also shows good linearity in refractive index sensing, promising great potentials in both optical communication and environment monitoring.
