The microbiological hydroxylation of 3α,17β- and 3β,17α-dihydroxy-5α-androstanes by Cephalosprium aphidicola

摘要：
Both 3alpha,17beta- and 3beta,17alpha-dihydroxy-5alpha-androstanes are hydroxylated at C-6beta by the fungus, Cephalosporium aphidicola but the 3alpha,17beta-diol is also hydroxylated at C-7alpha whereas the 3beta,17alpha-diol is hydroxylated at C-11beta.
