A Novel ultra-wideband microstrip-line fed wide-slot antenna having frequency band-notch function

摘要
A novel band-notched ultra-wideband wide-slot antenna fed with, a microstrip-line Is presented. The antenna ls composed of a circular microstrip patch and a semicircular are cut on the ground of the microstrip line. By embedding a simple arc-shaped slot In the circular microstrip patch, an ultra-wideband (UWB, 3.1-10.6GHz) operation with. a notched frequency band can be obtained. The arc-shaped slot has a length of about one-half wavelength of the desired notched frequency. The measured results also show dud the proposed antenna has stable radiation patterns over its whole frequency band. This kind of band-notched UWB antenna requires no external filters and thus greatly simplifies the circuit design of the communication system.
